An initial appointment may be longer, typically 45–50 minutes, to allow time for a thorough health history and assessment with your child. Subsequent appointments can range from 30–50 minutes, depending on your child’s age, comfort level, and treatment needs. Your RMT can recommend an appropriate treatment length.
Massage therapy provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) may be covered by your extended health benefits, depending on your insurance plan. We recommend checking your individual coverage before booking.
A doctor’s referral is generally not required to book pediatric massage therapy with an RMT. However, if your child has a complex health history or medical condition, we may request a doctor’s note before beginning or continuing RMT treatment. Some extended health plans may also require a referral for reimbursement, so we recommend checking your individual coverage.
Pediatric massage at Remedy is provided by Maria Huellas, RMT. Treatments are billed at our regular RMT rates, and direct billing is available for most insurance plans.
