What is the difference between acupuncture and acupressure?

Acupuncture and acupressure are both based on traditional Chinese medicine principles and involve stimulating specific points on the body to promote pain relief and relaxation. The main difference is the method used.

Acupuncture uses very thin needles inserted into specific points by a Registered Acupuncturist, while acupressure uses manual pressure from the hands or massage techniques instead of needles.

Both may help with conditions such as neck pain, back pain, headaches, stress, muscle tension, and sports injuries.
