ICBC CLAIMS - HOW DOES REIMBURSEMENT WORK?
We have had a few encounters with individuals that have an ICBC claim and require massage therapy services. We just wanted to clarify how the payment process works, so that there is no miscommunication between both parties.
ICBC only pays a portion ($23) of the private massage price. The therapist directly bills ICBC that $23 portion that the client did not have to pay. However, they still have to pay the rest of the portion of the massage that the $23 did not cover for services rendered. We do not directly bill the whole portion of the massage to ICBC.
Example: A 1 hour massage initially costs $110. All ICBC claimants, once given the go ahead by their adjuster are covered up to a specific amount of massage appointments. Their adjusted fee for a 1 hour massage is now $87 instead of $110 that is payable at the end of the appointment.
